AN/SSQ-125

The SSQ‑125 is a NATO A‑size sonobuoy built for use as a source in a multi‑static sonobuoy field. It generates a variety of waveforms on command and is designed to work with the SSQ‑53F, 53G and 53H, with the SSQ‑101 ADAR recommended for best performance.

Commandable after the drop

The RF channel can be programmed to any standard sonobuoy operating channel before deployment. At any time after deployment the buoy can be commanded to change its operating parameters, go deeper, generate a ping, or scuttle.
